Team Info

So what's the deal with teams?

We often have smaller group discussion time built into our services. Our goal is to build camaraderie among the students by breaking the large group into four teams that the students will stick with for the year. Beyond small group discussions we do team servant events, team parties, etc so students can get better interconnected and can help support one another.

And the point system?

This year we're bringing back a point system whereby teams get points for bringing friends, for having the most number of team members each Sunday, for winning minute-to-win-it games, and big points typically are given at the retreats. Then of course the team with the most points at the end of the school year typically gets an all expenses paid outing of some sort. We'll be posting the standings on a regular basis!

What's the deal with the goofy team names?

We selected the Latin translation of words from several scriptural passages. Sort of. Then we factored in the "sounds cool" factor and ended up with these results. The "translations" are loose and open to interpretation... What can we cay? We're just this side of nerdy!
